1. The biggest surprise to me during the reading was the incubation process phase of creative thinking. When someone says, "Why don't you sleep on it?" I thought it was just a saying, I didn't know it had actual substance to it. I found it interesting that people actually come up with ideas while they are sleeping.
2. One part of the reading I was confused about was security hunting. I would think that being safe in your creativity would be a good thing not hinder your creativeness. I thought going off of previous averages when making a decision would be very smart.
3. My questions to the author would have to do with innovation. My first question would be, "What is the easiest way to find out if your innovative thought has been thought of before and tested?" Also, "What type of innovation is the most successful as a whole?"
4. I only have a slight disagreement with the author about the idea experience. I think most ideas do have an "eureka moment" but some moments are bigger than others.
